Chapter 1 Foundation of Human Communication

Human Communication

Human Communication is a field of study. It focuses on understanding how people communicates in various ways.
Moving on, communication refer to the act by one or more persons sending and receiving messages. Communication is essential because it is the platform for first impressions. And of course, bring into being a good first impression is of utter importance.

Furthermore, human communication isn't just face-to-face conversation or even conversation via mobile phone. There are many areas of human communication.
  1)  Interpersonal communication
 2) Intrapersonal communication
 3) Group % Organizational communication
 4) Public communication
 5) Mass communication

There are many cultures out there in the world. Perhaps even too many to count. Besides that, different cultures definitely influence one another. And culture does effect communication. Hence, we all must learn to communicate effectively in a wide variety of cultures.

In addition, we also learnt about the contexts and components of communication. Kind of a boring part in this chapter, thus, we shall not bore you by going further into details. This part simply teaches us of the communication environments/features and how does communication works. Factual stuff.

Finally, towards the end, we learnt about the purposes of human communication. Pretty simple stuff, don't we all know why we need to communicate with one another. To support. To report. To uncover. To entertain. To influence. To create and maintain relationship with others. Excluding what has been shared, there are a wealth more of the basis of human communication.
